The F&B Group behind Opa, having now worked with Levels on other projects, approached with the goal of providing a compact, powerful, and clear sound system with a modest budget for their first European outlet for the Greek concept.

Several challenges and considerations were initially considered during the study of the venue and the best product mix to deliver the outcomes expected. With low ceilings, difficult cable access, limited available electrical power – the choice ultimately ended up with using the EM Acoustics and Linea Research products whereby high efficiency and theatrical sound quality would be provided to the client., at a cost point that was less than initially expected.

A series of EMS81X speakers, finished in white with the very powerful and S15 subwoofers were designed in, via a 6-point system – corner mount front and rear stereo pairs complimented with delayed centre line fill speakers. A Xilica DSP was provided to manage signal routing and user controls with a Linea Research 88C 8-channel 10KW amplifier running all speakers.

Three seasons on and the crowd still loves Opa Saint Tropez and the sound system sound every bit as good as it did on day one.
